Reflexology & Physiology of the Human Body This is two separate​ modules and learners must study both modules. To enrol on these accredited courses, you must have a minimum level of English, such as GCSE grade C or IELTS level 6.0 or equivalent. Reflexology Module You will study: Reflexology Massage Theory, history, origins and evolution of Reflexology and Zone Therapy with current theories. The law and professional practice. Practical work on Reflex locations, charts, zones and cross reflexes and contra indications and cautions. Basic anatomical structure relating to reflex points on the feet​​ Instruction on practical work on the feet, with foot care and stress indicators Students will need to do case studies and recorded treatments. Physiology of the Human Body Module Develop the knowledge of the human body, in relation to a Complementary therapy treatment Covering the structure and function of: The Skeletal system, muscular system, endocrine system, respiratory system, digestive system, urinary system, reproductive system, blood circulatory system, lymphatic system, Integumentary system. Students who pass both modules will be offered an interview for the Foundation Programme​ leading to: BSc (Hons) Complementary Healthcare (With practitioner status)​ BSc (Hons) Complementary Healthcare​ (inc. Foundation) Diploma in Complementary Healthcare (DipHE) / Certificate In Complementary Healthcare (CertHE)​​ Dates and times Start date: Reflexology, Tuesdays from 12th January & Physiology, Thursdays from 14th January 2016 - Ending: Reflexology Tuesday 7th June & Physiology Thursday 9th June 2016 10am start (both modules) - Reflexology to 12.30pm & Physiology to 11.30am Venue: Cardiff - Venue to be confirmed Level 3 accredited - 10 university credits​ per module (20 credits in total): Select "Joint Reflexology CEA3001 and Physiology of the Human Body CEA3002" on the enrolment form.
