4 February 2016
10.00 – 3.30 - Cardiff
This is an OpenLearn Champions Training Day
Who is it for?
For practitioners who promote learning in the community either formally or informally.
This may include, Communities First staff, library staff, local tutors, adult education providers, trade union reps, voluntary sector workers and others.
What will it cover?
This training course gives an overview of the various free Open Educational Resources (OER) available from The Open University and explores how these can be used in the community to engage people in learning. We look at how these resources can be utilised as part of a learning pathway, helping to develop confidence, digital literacy and other skills.
It’s a practical session, delivered in an IT suite, with lots of hands on opportunities to explore OER as well as network with other practitioners.
After the day, you will be invited to join our OpenLearn Champions network to access additional resources, on-going support and regular updates.
Lunch will be provided to those attending
